A Security Deposit of $500 payable to Island Winds is required to hold accommodations. This deposit will be refunded six (6) weeks after your departure date, less charges for damages, excessive phone bills, or extra cleaning.
Renters are responsible for daily upkeep of the condo. The housekeeping staff will be responsible only for the bedlinens and towels used immediately before departure.
If you are making the reservation for the unit, you must register in person upon arrival at Island Winds and physically stay in the unit. Your credit card billing address must match the home address you provide to Island Winds. Any reservation not complying with this policy will be voided with no refunds.
A deposit totaling 50% of the rental amount is required upon reservation. Interest earned on deposits will be considered a processing fee. (Guests who transfer their security deposit to the same unit for the same dates the following year will be charged the 50% payment at 120 days before arrival, as a courtesy.)
Upon arrival, payment for the balance due may be paid by Visa, MasterCard, Cashier's Check, Money Order or certified check only. PERSONAL CHECKS will not be accepted.
If written cancellation is received 120 days prior to arrival date, the the security deposit and all monies paid will be refunded less an administrative charge of $100.
Severe Weather Refund Policy
If there is a mandatory evacuation of Estero Island, a refund will be granted for days a renter is unable to be here. If a renter leaves by choice, a refund will NOT be granted.

NOTE: Fort Myers Beach is a barrier island which experiences intense storms from time to time. In the unlikely event storm damage occurs in your rental unit, or the property in general, during your stay, you will not be entitled to any compensation as a result of any weather event. This includes any inconvenience during restoration. The only exception to this policy are the provisions listed in the "mandatory evacuation policy" for hurricanes.
